The economy here is just terrible, but we’re not giving up yet. Well, I’m not. You may want to have a talk with your friend.
Please take more pictures of Hana. To this day I have only seen one awake picture and it’s really hard to show her off if she’s doing her best impression of Trabi.

Now then !
Sorry to hear you didn’t get the jobs, everyone I have know who has gone back home from Japan has struggled to get a decent job at first. But then a few months later they are usually sorted. Hang in there, it will all work out in the end.
Hana is getting bigger by the day, and is looking more like me all the time ! She looks very western now, even though when you saw her at a week old she looked very Japanese. She is changing all the time. Everything is going well over here, your TV works great (thank you so much !), and those kids books are being well used in my classes.
We miss you guys, hope to see you again for some beers in Hawaii someday !!
